ABOUT RJ

RJ Squared, LLC was founded by Rebecca Severin and Jasmine Getrouw to address a critical gap in the Black Maternal Health ecosystem.
Through their extensive background as Black public health practitioners, Rebecca and Jasmine routinely witnessed well-intentioned initiatives fail to improve outcomes for people of reproductive age. They identified a systemic flaw in standard public health approaches: an over-indexing on individual behavior modification rooted in harmful stereotypes, contrasted by a severe deficit in institutional accountability.
Realizing that sustainable health equity is impossible without analyzing the historical and capitalistic structures that perpetuate institutional racism, they launched RJ Squared. Today, the firm bridges the gap between public health strategy and systemic disruption, moving organizations past "good intentions" and toward measurable, structural accountability.
Vision Statement
To shift historically marginalized peoples from the margins to the center—anchored in reproductive agency, autonomy, and justice—where we create lives of joy, absolute abundance, and self-determination.
